It's a waste

Whether it’s a waste of time, waste of space or waste of money, we try our absolute best to be waste-free and reuse whatever we can in this business.
Our Knækbrød is packed in a clear plastic bags with a piece of jute string to seal them. This allows you to open and close the bag as you please. With this minimalistic packaging, what you see is what you get. These bags are also strong enough to be reused and we want to reward the people that do exactly this!
Show us how you reuse our packaging, by uploading a photo to our Facebook page The Baked Dane with the hashtag #whynotreuse and be in to get rewarded….pistttttt the reward might be free Knækbrød!!!
All orders are shipped in recycled cardboard boxes that we collect from local stores who are more than happy to see them reused. #motherearthworkedhardonthetreethatmadethatbox #savedyouatleast1dollarthere
Unfortunately, we haven’t yet started our own delivery company, so to ensure your orders arrive looking exactly how it they did when they left our hands, all cardboard boxes are stuffed with homemade “cracker pillows". These are crinkled label strip paper packed in leftover plastic bags. #itsfreeanditworks #savedyouatleast13centsthere #cardboardboximplants #Knækbrødspuder #bubblewhat #keepsapersonworkinginsteadofamachine
All leftover bread is either frozen for later personal consumption, made into øllebrød (Danish style porridge), or made into chips by thinly slicing and brushing it with garlic infused olive oil before baking.
